As a graduate student in the University of Toronto’s Religion Department, her research has been the recipient of a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council award. Her work centres on Christian political theologies of fetal personhood in memorials and graves for the unborn. Her thesis work in progress deploys a mixed methodology of ethnography, political theology, and critical theory. Other areas of study and interest include Christian mysticism, Medieval contemplative literature, and Buddhist fiction and poetry.

She is currently at work on a novella titled “Teach Me Your Statues,” a play about angels and hyper-acceleration of language in the 21st century, and two chapbooks about cows in literature, and the symbolic potency and linguistic sexualization of “sucking.”

In other pockets of time, she works as a bookseller at beloved independent bookstore, Type Books.
